SCOUTLY

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Scoutly is a Chrome extension for researching products listed on supported Amazon retail marketplaces. This policy describes the information Scoutly processes and how it is used.

Information Scoutly reads

When you use Scoutly, it reads information displayed on Amazon product and search-result pages. Depending on the page, this may include product names, ASINs, prices, ratings, review counts, Best Sellers Rank, availability, seller details, and Amazon sales badges. Keyword research can process the keyword you enter and Amazon's suggested search terms. The profit calculator can store values you enter, such as product cost, shipping, and fees. The tracker stores observations and your tracker settings.

Scoutly uses these details to show product research, calculate sales and revenue estimates, calculate potential profit, maintain tracking history, and provide exports and backups. Sales and revenue are estimates derived from page signals; they are not actual seller order records.

Information and local storage

Scoutly stores tracker data and history, settings, keyword research history, calculator inputs, and temporary caches in Chrome extension storage on your device. This information is not sent to the developer. Scoutly has no analytics, advertising, accounts, or data sale or sharing.

When you browse Amazon or run research, Scoutly reads Amazon pages and may request Amazon completion and suggestions endpoints. Amazon receives those requests and handles them under its own policies. Scoutly may open a temporary helper view to read Amazon pages for research or tracker checks.

Scoutly requests exchange-rate data from cdn.jsdelivr.net. The request downloads a public data file and contains no user or product data.

Requests and Quick View

Quick View reads the ASIN and visible brand from Amazon search results. Only after you click Alibaba, Scoutly fetches the product image from an Amazon image host and supplies it to Alibaba through Alibaba's own page. The image is sent only to Alibaba; Scoutly has no server involved. If the image cannot be used, Alibaba keyword search opens. The 1688 action opens a keyword link based on the product title and does not upload an image.

Scheduled checks and notifications

Scheduled tracker checks are off by default. If enabled, Chrome periodically reads Amazon product pages. Notifications are created locally by Chrome.

Retention and deletion

Data remains in Chrome's extension storage until you remove it using Scoutly's controls, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension. Exported files are saved where you choose and are controlled by you. Uninstalling Scoutly or clearing its storage may remove data that has not been exported.

Security

Scoutly uses Chrome's local extension storage and does not maintain a Scoutly account or backend. Protect access to your Chrome profile and exported backup files.

Limited Use

Scoutly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs, if any, adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Scoutly does not collect or transmit personal user data to its developer.

Children

Scoutly is not designed for or directed to children, and Scoutly does not knowingly collect information from children.
